Glowing endorsement from Drew Friedman

The brilliant cartoonist & illustrator Drew Friedman, whose work has appeared in such periodicals as The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek, Time, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Esquire, The New York Observer, RAW, The New Republic, The Village Voice, and Mad (to name a few), just today gave a wonderful endorsement of The Secret World of Renaldo Kuhler:

"What a delight it is to discover an artist you were completely unaware of, an artist whose work is graphically intricate, strange, and beautiful, and an artist who has actually invented his own world, or, at least his own country. I love everything about this book and I didn't want it to end. Sixty years of Renaldo Kuhler's work is just not enough! But, it will have to do. It's the publishing event of the year."

Rick Meyerowitz Editorial Review of The Secret World of Renaldo Kuhler

"The Secret World of Renaldo Kuhler is a beautifully designed marvel. The secret country of his feverish imagination was the world he would have preferred to live in. If you’re seeking a respite from our own land and its leaders, you can do nothing better for yourself than to book a trip to another country. Long live Renaldo Kuhler and the great nation of Rocaterrania!”

―Rick Meyerowitz, author of Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Writers and Artists Who Made the National Lampoon Insanely Great; contributor to The New Yorker and The New York Times

Maira Kalman Editorial Review of The Secret World of Renaldo Kuhler

“This book is FANTASTIC! Beautifully produced and written. Inspiring. Funny. Strange. Sad. Optimistic. All of the things that I look for in a book. Renaldo Kuhler reminds us that we must try to live our lives as best we can and be who we are! We cannot be reminded of that too often.”

―Maira Kalman, author of The Principles of Uncertainty and Beloved Dog; creator of work for Interview magazine, The New York Times, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Talking Heads
